About me

I am an experienced cyber security, technology and digital risk advisor for public and private organizations. I root my work in the idea that technology should support human rights, not harm them. I do this from an intersectional feminist viewpoint.

I like digital media and how people use them to mobilize against issues that were previously ignored. I have done research on this phenomenon, specifically on how people organize without support from traditional institutions (micro-mobilization) and how individuals use online crowdsourcing of information to help police institutions solve child abuse cases.

Next to this I also have opinions on emerging technology, AI, cyber security and how this affects marginalized groups. You might have seen them on Twitter.

This blog is an experiment to solidify some of my thinking outside of the 260 character limit on Twitter.
